Our Introduction
Who We Are & What We Do
Welcome to Splashing Paws, LLC, a peaceful pet hospice sanctuary dedicated to providing compassionate end-of-life care for beloved animals. Our highest priority is to give families peace of mind, knowing their cherished companions are surrounded by comfort, dignity, and gentle care during life’s most tender moments. We are honored to support both pets and the people who love them during this meaningful time.
Our sanctuary sits on a quiet half-acre along Interstate 40 in Yucca, Arizona, southwest of Kingman. Nestled between the southern edge of the Black Mountains and the Hualapai and McCracken Mountains in the Sacramento Valley, Splashing Paws offers a calm desert setting where pets and their families can experience tranquility, reflection, and compassionate support away from the noise and stress of everyday life.
Splashing Paws was founded in 2021 by Susan Foe, whose lifelong love of animals inspired her to create a place where pets are treated with the same tenderness and respect they receive at home. While the sanctuary originally began as a boarding kennel following professional standards set by the Pet Care Services Association, it has since evolved into a specialized hospice sanctuary focused entirely on comfort care and peaceful end-of-life support.
Since early 2025, the property has undergone thoughtful upgrades designed specifically for hospice services, including quiet resting spaces, private accommodations, and peaceful outdoor areas where families can spend meaningful time with their pets.

Our Philosophy of Gentle End-of-Life Care
At Splashing Paws, we believe the final chapter of a pet’s life should be filled with the same love, comfort, and dignity they gave to us throughout their years.
Our approach focuses on peaceful surroundings, gentle care, and emotional support for families navigating one of the most difficult moments a pet owner can face. Every pet receives individualized attention designed to maximize comfort, reduce stress, and allow them to rest in a calm and nurturing environment.
Pets are family, and our mission is to ensure that every animal in our care is treated with compassion, patience, and respect.

The Splashing Paws Remembrance Garden
At the heart of the sanctuary is the Splashing Paws Remembrance Garden, a quiet place where families can pause, reflect, and honor the bond they share with their beloved companions.
The garden features peaceful desert landscaping and a gentle reflection fountain where visitors can sit, remember, and celebrate the life of a pet who has given so much love. Many families find comfort in spending time here together, sharing stories, or simply sitting quietly with their pet.
A small plaque beside the fountain reads:
“Love leaves pawprints on our hearts forever.”
The Remembrance Garden was created to provide a place for memorial moments, reflection, and healing.

Being Present for Your Pet’s Final Journey
We believe that saying goodbye should never feel rushed or impersonal. At Splashing Paws, families are welcome to spend meaningful time with their pets in a peaceful setting.
Whether sitting together in the garden, resting quietly beside them, or simply holding their paw, these moments matter deeply. Our team is here to provide gentle guidance, respect your wishes, and ensure that both you and your pet feel supported every step of the way.
At Splashing Paws Pet Hospice Sanctuary, our passion for animals and our commitment to the families who love them guide everything we do. Our purpose is simple: to provide comfort, dignity, and compassionate care so every pet’s final chapter is filled with peace, love, and gentle support.
“Because every life deserves a gentle goodbye.”

At Splashing Paws, our mission is to provide compassionate hospice care and aftercare for beloved pets, ensuring their final days are filled with comfort, dignity, and love.
We believe pets are family, and their final chapter deserves the same warmth, respect, and peaceful environment we would want for our own loved ones. Through our private cottage spaces, gentle support services, and thoughtful memorial options, we help families spend meaningful time with their companions while honoring the deep bond they share.
Our purpose is simple: to create a calm, loving place where pets can rest peacefully and families can say goodbye with compassion, presence, and grace.

Add-ons
We provide these add-on services to enhance your pups stay with us no matter how long they're here!
Can be added to your Boarding and Daycare!
Rattlesnake Aversion Training
Our training uses live rattlesnakes to create the most realistic experience possible. Since rewards alone can’t convey the real danger, we apply a brief correction to simulate a bite—helping dogs make a strong, lasting connection: “Rattlesnake = Ouch.”
The method is safe, quick, and highly effective for most dogs six months and older, regardless of breed or size, with results that typically last for years.
Avian & Exotic Pets
Exotic pets are taken care of based on your specifications and their specific requirements. Their enclosure will be cleaned and disinfected daily and they will be able to interact with our staff if they would like.
